What is counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy. By developing a trusting and collaborative relationship, the counsellor and client create a safe space in which it is possible to explore issues that are causing difficulty.

There are periods in everyone’s life when they find themselves faced with feelings like anxiety, stress, anger or isolation. These emotions are a common reaction to significant life events, such as, bereavement, loss of a job, or ill health and can leave the recipient feeling confused and overwhelmed. It is at times like these when outside help can be invaluable.

Counselling can help:

  • Make changes for the better
  • Improve relationships
  • Improve self esteem
  • Give a greater understanding of self
  • Move you into a future with more choices
